Design shapes the world we live in. Digital technologies in particular increasingly have the power to shape how we know and interact with the world and connect with each other. The influence of their design often extends beyond simple concrete interactions to in some way shape individual lifeworlds, interpersonal relations, and social networks. I call these effects design ripples. This blog is dedicated to my musings on issues in this space dealing with the human dimensions of technology design and use.
